Under the carnival striped big top, as the aging ringmaster is unwound by dementia, the circus' sawdust ring descends into a battleground between the Auguste and White clowns.

A libretto celebrating the Waikato River, the longest river in New Zealand, rising on the eastern slopes of Mount Ruapehu, joining the Tongariro River system and flowing through Lake Taupō, New Zealand's largest lake.
